IFC-Bank to Open Representative Office in Yakutia

26 September

On October 3, 2011 OJSC JSCB International Financial Club opens a Representative Office in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) at: Glukhoi Pereulok, Bldg.1, Yakutsk. The relevant decision was made at the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Bank held on September 21, 2011.
Danilov Vladimir Danilovich was appointed Director of the Representative Office.
The operational priorities of IFC Bank’s Representative Office in the Republic will be further development of traditional corporate lending to major companies in the region as well as private banking.

IFC Bank already has a history of success in the region. In particular, in July 2011, with the assistance of the local authorities, the Bank signed a number of agreements with major Yakutian companies representing various branches of the Republic’s economy. Currently the Bank’s loan portfolio for Yakutia exceeds 1 bn rubles with overall planned investment in the regional economy totaling 100 mln USD.
The Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) will be the sixth Russian region to have a Representative Office of the Bank. The regional network of OJSC JSCB International Financial Club already includes the Regional Administrative Office and the Siberian Branch in Krasnoyarsk, the Operational Office in Irkutsk, representative offices in Saint-Petersburg and Novosibirsk, as well as the Bank’s Head Office in Moscow.

“The opening of the Representative Office in Yakutia perfectly fits into the development strategy for 2011-2015 approved by the Bank, one of the key elements of which is regional development in areas with a high concentration of businesses that are of the most interest to the Bank and its shareholders. We see great potential in the expansion of banking operations in the Far East region in general, and in the Republic of Sakha, in particular. Today it is a fast-growing and promising market. We are witnessing here modernization of the staple industries and active growth of new ones. At such time lack of high-quality banking services is particularly acute, and we are happy to make our contribution to the development of the regional economy,” — noted Vyacheslav Shabaikin, First Deputy Chairperson of IFC-Bank’s Management Board.
